The Apollo Thunder DLX RFN 250cc Dirt Bike is an off-road model built for experienced riders who want higher power and full manual control. It uses a 250cc air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine from Zongshen, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission with clutch. Starting is handled by electric start with kick start backup.
The engine produces 16.1 HP at 7000 RPM and 17.5 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM, providing strong pull for trails and uneven terrain. Fuel is supplied through a PZ28 carburetor, and ignition uses a CDI system. Fuel tank capacity is 1.7 gallons.
The Thunder DLX rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear off-road wheels, offering stability and obstacle clearance. Seat height measures 35.8 inches, suited for adult riders. Ground clearance is 13.5 inches, supporting trail riding and rough terrain use. The frame uses a double-beam heavy-duty steel design for strength.
Suspension includes adjustable inverted front forks with 200 mm travel and an adjustable rear shock, allowing setup changes for rider weight and terrain. Braking is handled by front and rear hydraulic disc brakes, with hand control on the front and foot control on the rear. This model is off-road use only and not street legal.
The bike ships 70% assembled inside a metal crate. Assembly is required, and a certified technician is recommended for final setup and inspection. A fully assembled unit is available only for pickup from the Dallas, Texas retail store.
