The TaoTao Blade 49cc Moped Scooter is a gas-powered street-legal scooter built for local commuting and short-distance riding. It runs on a 49cc air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine paired with a fully automatic transmission, allowing simple throttle-and-go operation without manual shifting.
Starting is handled by electric start with kick start backup. Ignition uses a CDI system, and power delivery supports speeds of up to 35 mph, depending on rider weight and road conditions.
The Blade rides on 10-inch tires with drum brakes front and rear. Suspension includes a hydraulic front system and hydraulic spring rear suspension, designed for basic road comfort. Fuel tank capacity is 5.6 liters (1.5 gallons), suitable for short commuting trips.
